opportunity of seeing one of your images featured in a 2012 Steve Parish Publishing
wall calendar.
Ten people will win the chance for their photo to be included in a wall calendar. The
categories are:
• Australian wildlife
• Australian flowers
• Australian Capital Territory
• New South Wales
• Northern Territory
• Queensland
• South Australia
• Tasmania
• Victoria
• Western Australia
[State entries can be either city, town or landscape shots.]
The competition is currently running and will close at midnight on 31 July 2010, with
winners announced in August 2010. The winners will not only have their credited image
published in a Steve Parish Publishing calendar, but will also receive six calendar
samples and a selection of Steve’s fabulous photographic books.

APS members are invited to submit BLACK AND WHITE prints for selection to represent Australia at the forthcoming FIAP Biennial Competition to be held in April 2010 in Vietnam.
Each of the ten (10) entries selected will earn their authors five (5) points towards APS Honours, and also count for FIAP Honours. An author may only have one print in the selected Australian entry. There are also medals and certificates awarded for nations and individuals.
FIAP stipulates that, while prints are marked individually for individual awards, these marks are added to by a mark for COHESION of the group as a whole. The marks for the prints themselves are from 200 marks, the cohesion mark is out of 100. The marks are tallied for the final result.
Therefore, we must have a theme. This competition the theme will be:
……… “HORSES” ……
Anything relating to horses, singular, plural, part of, at work or play, in sports, anything.
Entrants may enter a maximum of six (6) prints. They must be unmounted, have no border, and measure close to, but not more than 40cm x 30cm. They may be self or commercially processed, but you must own all copyright of the photograph, and have taken it yourself. Prints must be identified on the back with your name and address, and the title of the work.
A panel of suitable persons will select the entry.
Return postage in the form of stamps or cash for the prints must be included, plus a stamped SAE for the result. The packaging should be re-usable for the return of the prints.
Closing date for receipt of entries is 30 March 2010.
